Healthcare Reform
“Healthcare reform” – two words that are bound to elicit a reaction from anyone in America who hasn’t been living under a rock for the past few years. This Wednesday we’ll tackle the topic on State of Affairs. We’ll look at the different options that have been suggested to fix our healthcare system, and learn how they would affect hospitals, seniors, public health organizations, businesses, and more. What I know is my premiums have gone way up after passing age 50. If I were laid-off tomorrow, it would be hard to afford COBRA. I like what Dr. Troutman (and others) said about transforming the system. I’m not in AARP, but glad she said they’re working to include those over 50, but not on Medicare.

I’m watching the President tonight and hope Congress really does make changes to the costs of health insurance.
