The University of Louisville formally opened its new Depression Center today.  Center Director Dr. Jesse Wright says it will be part of a national network of facilities.

“It gives us tremendous promise for achieving major advances for this age-old problem,” says Wright.  “By working together, I think we can really tackle these key problems in mood disorders and find better solutions.”

The new center includes virtual reality therapy, a resource library, and treatment for specific mental illnesses, such as those that affect women during and after pregnancy, students and the elderly.

It’s located in the U of L Healthcare Outpatient Center on East Chestnut Street.
