Congressman John Yarmuth of Louisville says health care reform will move to the forefront when Capitol Hill lawmakers return from their Easter recess.
The Third District Democrat says the legislation will be the top initiative in the House over the next several months.
“We are going to attempt, and I believe we will succeed, in creating a new health care system which makes sure that everybody in this country……..has health insurance. It’s going to be an incredibly interesting debate,” he said.
Yarmuth says lawmakers will also begin debate on energy legislation that focuses on climate change. He spoke on WFPL’s State of Affairs program Tuesday.
