A tentative trial date has been set for former Pleasure Ridge Park High School football coach Jason Stinson, who’s charged with reckless homicide in the heat related death of a player.
Subject to a judge’s approval, Stinson will go on trial August 31.
Jefferson County Commonwealth’s Attorney David Stengel and defense attorney Alex Dathorne agreed on the date following a brief pre-trial hearing today in Jefferson Circuit Court.
Stinson has pleaded not guilty to reckless homicide in the death of 15 year old Max Gilpin.
The PRP sophomore collapsed during practice on a sweltering afternoon last August and died three days later.
Stinson has since been reassigned to a non-instructional position in the county school system.
