Investigation Continues Into Shooting Of Indiana Officers

Two Jeffersonville, Indiana police officers remain hospitalized in serious but stable condition after they were shot during a drug investigation Thursday night.

Corporal Dan Lawhorn and Patrolman Keith Broady are recovering from surgery at University of Louisville Hospital.

Both were struck by gunfire when they were ambushed at Motel 6 room, where they were called to investigate a report of drug activity.

The suspected gunman , 37 year old Robert Datillo, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Friday after he was surrounded by police at south Louisville home.

Two other men originally arrested in the case have been released and won’t be charged.
