Presidential Inauguration Will be Broadcast at Kentucky Center

by scrosby on January 19, 2009

The presidential inauguration can be viewed tomorrow at the Kentucky Center in downtown Louisville. Spokesperson David Holland says they originally planned to show the ceremonies in Bomhard Theater, and all those free tickets were quickly handed out.

Holland says they’ll accommodate many more in their public areas with tables and plasma TV’s.

“I think everybody understands this is truly a historic moment in America,” says Holland. “This is a special inauguration, and there’s a real feeling throughout the community that people want to share this moment, that they want to do something communal with it.”

The Kentucky Center doors open to the public Tuesday morning at 10:45.

WFPL’s inauguration coverage begins at 10am.
