Louisville’s Muhammad Ali Center is holding a celebration today in honor of its namesake’s 67th birthday.
Center public programmer Fronda Yancy says Ali will celebrate his birthday elsewhere, but the event will teach people about the boxing legend’s life.
“We are wanting everybody to leave with an inspirational message in their heart that will inspire them to be the greatest they can be,” she says. “Because Muhammad’s not really going to be in their presence, but just experience what it felt like, and some of the things that he went through.”
The event is free and lasts until 5 PM.
