Yarmuth Donates Congressional Salary To Charity

Congressman John Yarmuth of Louisville says he’s again donating his government salary to charity.

Yarmuth announced Thursday that 31 Louisville organizations will share just over $120,000.

The second-term congressman also donated his previous year’s salary to various groups.

Yarmuth says these charities will receive “varying sums:”

African-American Heritage Center
Alzheimer’s Association
Boys and Girls Club
Boys Haven
Brain Injury Association
Center for Women and Families
Children’s Hospital Foundation
Dare to Care
Family Scholar House
Fund for the Arts
Habitat for Humanity
Harbor House
Hazelwood Center
Home of the Innocents
Jewish Community Center
Kentucky Harvest
Library Foundation
Louisville Urban League
Metro United Way
Presbyterian Community Center
Red Cross
Simmons College
United Jewish Campaign
Youth Alive
