The first will come today when Daniels is inaugurated for a second term.
The second is tomorrow, when the Republican governor will deliver his State of the State address to a joint session of the Indiana House and Senate.
Daniels says the two speeches will be different in tone.
“In the simplest terms, Monday is long term, Tuesday night is immediate, Monday is poetry, Tuesday night is prosaic. Monday is thematic, Tuesday night is businesslike,” Daniels told reporters last week.
Daniels’ inauguration is 11:00 this morning at the Indiana State House.
Also taking the oath of office will be the state’s lieutenant governor, attorney general and superintendent of public instruction.
