HomeGrown 12/21/08 – Garden Song & Bulbs in Basement

by Brad Yost on December 21, 2008

You just can’t have Christmas without flower and song, and those lovable HomeGrown elves Bob Hill and Jeneen Wiche will faithfully deliver once again. Some holiday garden songs come from merry punster Pat Stone, editor of “GreenPrints: The Weeder’s Digest,” a magazine dedicated to garden stories from the heart. Information on keeping your perennial plants happy over the holidays, and beyond, flies in from Massachusetts as Alice and Brian McGowen offer great tips on overwintering plants, as told in their book, “Bulbs in the Basement, Geraniums on the Windowsill.”

I’m just now getting my last few amaryllis out for some late winter blooms. They should keep me happy until the daffodils come up here in a few weeks. 🙂
