Narcissism
In Greek mythology, Narcissus fell in love with his own reflection and spent hours gazing fondly at it in the surface of a pond. Today’s narcissists can bypass the pond and simply gaze at their own self-portraits on myspace. Reality TV and social media make us all think we should be famous – even if we don’t have any particular talent for entertainment – and that everyone cares what we’re having for lunch. This Wednesday we’ll take a look at narcissism – how it develops, which aspects of our culture foster it, and how to deal with the insufferable narcissists in your life (and make sure you’re not one of them!).

Hi Kyle, we don’t make written or printed transcripts of the show, but it is available in mp3 format for free, or you can call 814-6500 to order a CD. Thanks!
