Louisville Gas and Electric has discovered new damage caused by Sunday’s windstorms.
As of 4:00 Tuesday, 182,000 Louisville residents were without power. That’s down from 189,000 Tuesday morning.
LG&E spokesperson Chip Keeling says some previous damage estimates were incorrect, and that’s set repair efforts back.
“The broken pole situation, again, through the assessment we’ve been giving on a regular basis, that has gone up,” he says. “Wire downs have increased as well.”
410 poles and 6 thousand two hundred fifty lines were downed in the storm, leaving more than 300 thousand customers without power at one point. Keeling says complete power restoration will likely take 10 to 14 days.
