The world’s greatest botanic gardens, and the antithesis – a trip to Death Valley – are on your extreme HomeGrown itinerary this week. The botanic garden roundup is hosted by Sara Oldfield, Secretary General of Botanic Gardens Conservation International based in Kew, England, and author of “Great Botanic Gardens of the World.” She describes the diversity of botanic gardens and explains their important role in plant conservation.
