Archdiocese To Host Bicentennial Concert

by Rick Howlett on June 27, 2008

The Catholic Archdiocese of Louisville will culminate its bicentennial celebration with a public Mass and concert Sunday at Slugger Field.

Chancellor Brian Reynolds says people of all denominations are invited to the event.

“We were founded in 1808, first in Bardstown and later moved to Louisville and this is our chance to celebrate our heritage and our faith and who we are as a Catholic community,”

The celebration includes a Mass, activities for children and a concert featuring Patrick Henry Hughes, The Monarchs and America.

There is no admission charge for the event.
