Common Cause CEO To Speak In Louisville

The national president and CEO of the government watchdog group Common Cause will speak in Louisville this  evening.

Bob Edgar is a former congressman from Pennsylvania.      He says during this presidential election year, his organization is spotlighting issues such as campaign finance reform and accurate voting procedures.

“Common Cause and other good government groups really want to organize city by city, state by state, to take advantage of this unique moment in history, is prepared to bring about the change that we’re all looking for,” Edgar said.

Edgar will speak this evening (at 6:00 at the University of Louisville during an event co-sponsored by Common Cause of Kentucky, the local League of  WomenVoters and the United Nations Association.
