Kentucky's Governor to Travel to Japan

From Kentucky Public Radio’s Tony McVeigh

Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear leaves Sunday on his first economic development mission to Japan since taking office last December. He plans to introduce himself to government officials and executives of companies doing business with the commonwealth.

“Secondly, we’re working on some specific projects and ideas with some folks and I want to move those along as much as I can while I’m there.”

“Economic development ideas?”

“Yes, economic development ideas,” he said.

Beshear’s trip will last one week.
