We now know which Kentucky candidates will face-off in the November general election for a U-S Senate seat and four congressional seats fought over in Tuesday’s primary.

Incumbent U-S Senator Mitch McConnell easily trounced his Republican primary opponent and now faces Louisville businessman Bruce Lunsford, who clinched the Democratic nomination.

In the 2nd congressional district, state Senator David Boswell grabbed the Democratic nomination and the opportunity to take on Republican state Senator Brett Guthrie in November. In the 3rd district, former congresswoman Anne Northup of Louisville defeated two other Republicans and will now take on Democratic Congressman John Yarmuth in November.

Fourth district Congressman Geoff Davis easily defeated two Republican primary opponents and faces Democrat Michael Kelly in the fall. Jon Larson clinched the Republican nomination in the 6th congressional district and will try to unseat democratic Congressman Ben Chandler in November.
