With the presidential primary season more than halfway over and Democrats Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama still battling for delegates, states that have primaries late in the season are getting more attention than before.
Indiana’s primary is May 6th, two weeks before Kentucky’s. Indiana Democratic Party Vice-chair Cordelia Lewis-Burks says the tight race is invigorating her organization.
“It will spike the enthusiasm of our Democratic party people as well as bring new people into our party,” she says.
The Obama campaign has announced the Illinois senator will visit Indiana this weekend. No other details have been disclosed.
